The Previous/Next buttons let you go forward and back
between the recent extents you've used.

Click Previous (the left-facing
arrow) to return to the previous extent. The Next button (right-facing arrow)
is grayed out and unavailable unless the Previous button has been used; if
Previous has been used then Next returns to the view that was displayed before
the Previous button was clicked.
